Straddling the Oak Ridges Moraine, and centrally located between Bolton, Schomberg, Bradford, Alliston and Orangeville, Deer Springs is truly a colourful place to live. The Town of New Tecumseth was created in January 1991 and encompasses the former municipalities of the Town of Alliston, Villages of Beeton and Tottenham, and Tecumseth Township. Tottenham is located between Bolton and Alliston and is accessible by Highways 50, 27, 400 and 9.
Tottenham is home to the South Simcoe Railway's historic steam train, a popular tourist attraction that brings people from around the world to the Town. The restored 1920's coaches travel over the rails of a century-old branch line that once connected Hamilton with Barrie and Collingwood.
Woodington Lake Golf Club, a nationally ranked course is located 1.6 km (1 mi) west of Tottenham. The Tottenham Conservation Area boasts 41 acres of prime parkland and overlooks a magnificent pond. The park offers camping facilities, fishing, nature trails and a pavilion that can be reserved for private occasions such as business retreats, family reunions and picnics.
The community of Tottenham hosts an Annual Bluegrass Festival every June at the Tottenham Conservation Area. This years festival promises to deliver another award winning line-up!
